Since 2009, Candelabro has been defined as a café, a library and a bookstore. While having a coffee, a glass of wine or a cocktail you can enjoy some of the books available for sale. In fact, being a café, it keeps its book activity active, publishing literary works and buying and selling books, photographs, maps, postcards and other documents. It is a space characterized by a unique and cozy atmosphere with quality ambient music, ideal for a night of conversation with friends. Weather permitting, you can enjoy our pleasant and iconic terrace. It also develops various cultural and artistic activities, which you can follow along with your agenda.

He has always dedicated himself exclusively to Portuguese modernism and the contemporary movement, with occasional exhibitions by foreign artists. She has had an intense and quality artistic activity, supported by “classic” artists who have always been linked to the Gallery (such as Areal, Cesariny, Cruzeiro Seixas or Julio) but also, and above all, by new artists. In 2005 it expanded to the city of Porto, today being in the central nerve of the city’s art, near the Soares dos Reis Museum and in the heart of Porto’s art galleries.

Espiga presents itself as a cultural space inserted in the Bombarda Shopping Center. This is a place where anything can happen: dance, travel presentations, weddings and festivals.
Espiga, which means “Space of Imagination, Taste and Arts”, is a constantly changing space that is intended to be dynamic, cultural and with good snacks. The creation of Espiga was a result of a collective team brainstorming, that eventually ended up with the creation of this unique store.
Espiga has a gallery, a travel bookstore and, over time and due to its expansion needs, opened a store – Bazar do Espiga.
