Opened in 2013, it is a bar which opens to the street, with music, concerts and snacks. In the middle of downtown Porto, it tries to bring the street to the street, in this reciprocity of undergoing, experiences and smells. The Rua occupies an old building in the area, with a characteristic interior patio. The architectural project of adaptation to the bar sought to realise the idea of approaching the street, of integration and continuity, using elements and materials from the exterior urbanity, such as the granite of the pavement, the balcony iron bars, the typical tiles and the urban graffiti. On the menu, you can find various solutions for drinking and snacking, ‘potatoes bravas’ (extremely spicy potatoes), padrón peppers, tibornas (similar to a Bruschetta), among others, and even a puff pastry Francesinha.

At Berry you can try vegetarian and vegan cuisine, where all food is produced in space, with ingredients of biological origin. After the first Berry, which appeared at the invitation of the Ervanário Portuense, expanded to this space, with more places and with a kitchen that allows the development and confection of the dishes that made the first space famous, such as bread and focaccia prepared with slow fermentation dough, prepared from scratch. Lunches, vegetarian/vegan breakfasts and snacks, menus of the day, bread and focaccia of mother dough, vegan pastry, freshly made juices and smoothies, infusions, among others, are some of the offers you can find at Berry.

The café has existed since 2017, it is a family business that has preserved the characteristics of the store’s old environment, adapting to the current business. Belonging to three brothers, the mother continues to be the key piece in the kitchen. The family has Trás-os-Montes origins, which is reflected in the menu. The products made are of Trás-os-Montes origin, ideal for meals, such as kid roast in the oven and seafood feijoada. There are options for different types of appetites, based on own-made pastries, between cheesecakes and specialties, Tentúgal pastries, french toast and biscuit cake. They have daily brunch, with eggs, scrambled, in the oven or Benedict, and yogurts with granola and fruit, among other options.
