Inaugurated in 1931, Escondidinho was the first restaurant to obtain two Michelin stars in 1936, which made the restaurant a place of excellence. Its dining room, which reproduces the comfort of the 18th century residences, with the ornamental strength of the old faience and the showy ceramic wainscoting, imitating the Delft school, with its extraordinary beauty tiles, stands out for its beauty. In the Escondidinho Restaurant you can enjoy the unique flavors of Porto gastronomy, such as “tripas” (gut), cod, beef or “cataplana”, always with a service of recognized excellence.

Gelataria Portuense is a traditional ice cream shop where you can taste the famous ice creams produced by one of Cattabriga’s only two Effe machines in Portugal, the revolutionary machine invented in 1927 by Otello Cattabriga, an ingenious and talented Italian inventor. This is the only machine capable of reproducing the stacca and spalma movements, with the smoothness and rhythm of the Italian grandmother’s hands. This ice cream shop privileges fresh fruit and predominantly Portuguese flavors such as Port wine, “pastel de nata” and “leite creme” (cream milk), without forgetting the most requested flavors such as chocolate and vanilla. At Gelataria Portuguesa the production of ice cream is made without the use of dyes and preservatives.

Pastelaria e Confeitaria Moura was born in 1892 in the city of Santo Tirso, producing to this day a huge variety of ancestral recipes, with Jesuits and lemonade being their main specialties.
Its revenues have been held for over 125 years by the same family, a secret passed on from generation to generation.
The quality of our products derives fundamentally from the authenticity of its manufacture, careful selection of raw materials and the controlled pace of production time.
The group’s most recent store brings with it many new features for breakfast and lunch. In the center of Porto, it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy one of its delicacies.

At Paolo’s Pizzeria you can enjoy an extensive pizza menu, with garlic bread and drink, or the option of a pizza roll. But you will be making a mistake if you think that Paolo’s only has pizzas. The diversity of starters impresses, from the traditional olives, through the sausage or cheese boards, to the house specialty, a steak puff pastry, accompanied with fried potatoes. There is a panoply of salads and pasta dishes, but the menu of traditional Portuguese dishes is also a great bet, as well as the unavoidable Francesinha (a sandwich from the city of Porto, consisting of sausage, fresh sausage, ham, cold meats and beef steak, covered with cheese later melted; it is garnished with a tomato, beer and piri-piri sauce and can be served with French fries as a side dish) and some snacks. As a cherry on top of the cake, there is also a dessert menu for all tastes and shapes.
