On April 25, 1947, Vicente Peres founded the Sical-Coffee Importer Society. A few years later, the Sical Cafeteria took another step, starting to serve coffee by the cup and continues with the transformation of the place into a cultural landmark, enriching its walls, in 1964, with two tile panels by Júlio Resende. In 2017, the master António Bessa, apprentice of Julio Resende, adds to the estate of the house another work. Confeitaria SICAL is currently a modern space with a relaxed atmosphere that complements the sophisticated views of downtown Porto with its own brand coffee. You can go with a refined pastry, varied sandwiches, toasts, natural juices and teas.

Museu da Avó opened in September 2009 and has been demonstrating that evenings are also built with gatherings of friends around a snack table. Housed in “Travessa de Cedofeita”, this space attracts its own clientele, who prefer quiet outings, but is also a crossing point for those wishing to line their stomach before, in the middle or after a night of revelry. The variety is great, from the Spanish typical “pimentos padrón” to the seafood rice, from the Portuguese “alheira” to the famous ham, from the green broth (Portuguese soup) to the “bifanas” (bread with pork meat). The granitic walls and tiles give the rustic touch that suits a space that is affirmed by tradition, from the palate to the decoration. Hanging from the ceiling or in the showcases scattered throughout the room are numerous antiques.

Eldorado restaurant has a history of over 23 years, always with the same owner. Its longevity attests to the quality with which it serves its specialties, especially the traditional Portuguese dishes, fresh fish and seafood dishes. Indulge yourself with a fish dish such as Eldorado codfish, sea rice or fish cataplana or one of the seafood dishes such as seafood stew or seafood rice. If you prefer meat, you will also have many options available, such as steak à Eldorado, the Mirandesa steak or picanha. In the end, you can complement your meal with one of the homemade desserts available.

In fact, given their experience and specialized knowledge in the sector, its employees are able to give you the best advice on which wine best suits your specific needs.
