Costa Braga & Filhos has a history of over 150 years. In 1866, at Rua Firmeza, in Porto, the factory was named “Real e Imperial Chapelaria a Vapor de Costa Braga & Filhos”. Later, in the current facilities of Rua 31 de Janeiro, shop and production were combined. Since then it has guided its position in the market by criteria of quality, rigor and honesty. In this shop you can follow the manufacture and application of various uniform accessories. You can still know a huge collection of original equipment, some still in use. Alcino Cardosas Store opened in 2011, becoming the first store of the prestigious Alcino brand in downtown Porto. Sharing the building with the iconic Intercontinental Porto Hotel – Palacio das Cardosas, this establishment is a privileged place for you to admire and even purchase handcrafted pieces from Alcino’s workshop. Among the various jewelry products produced by this brand are necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings and filigree. Its extensive catalog also includes various decorative items such as jugs, candlesticks, cups, boxes and figures as well as tableware and sacred art.

The official name of this establishment – Kilo Americano – has its origin in an American who, being emigrated in Spain, imported fabrics that he later sold by the kilo to the general public.
KA Internacional presents itself as a Spanish franchise and its space in the city of Porto has been in operation for over 25 years.

It has been in existence since 2013 and its mission is to be the go-to for lovers of photography, music and retro and vintage style. Downstairs you will find a store dedicated to analog and instant photography and music: Polaroids, photographic rolls, turntables, vinyls. On the first floor, with ripped windows over the square and Carmo Church, is the Embaixada’s Bar, which is a café during the day and a bar at night. There are different styles of music every day of the week, and you can drink a mojito or piña colada, or eat a salad or a Nutella pancake. On Saturdays there are Photography Workshops.
