Socalcos Vinhos & Gourmet emerged in a rehabilitated building, next to the former Ferreira Borges Market, being the modern version of the Infante Cabaz Wine Cellar. This is owned by Mr. Manuel Pinto, Socalcos is owned by Bruno Pinto, the son who follows the knowledge of the family. Large and clean, Socalcos’ proposal is to provide a pleasant space for tourists and locals to make their choice comfortably between the various brands of Port and table wines, including a range of so-called “superior” wines. To add to the careful selection of wines, we can find a set of gourmet products, such as cheese and composites, that complement the taste of the most demanding.

Tapas n’Friends brand has been growing, already having several spaces in operation in Lisbon and Porto. Its concept is sharing food, with over 50 tapas to choose from, with Portuguese, Spanish and Italian influence, ideal for sharing with friends in a relaxed atmosphere. You can choose, for example, Bulhão Pato clams, codfish fritters, mushrooms stuffed with ham and quail egg, fried cuttlefish with tartar sauce. Along with sharing food, there is a signature line of natural juices that accompany tapas. It is the ideal place for a late afternoon after work with friends, as well as for a late night weekend. Ideal for sharing moments.

The mythical Café Corcel, born in 1967 in the Pinheiro Manso area, has recently reopened with a new life. The space is more beautiful and luminous, modernised, but containing some traditional touches, and its shop window reflects this, where we find an exhibition with a lot of conventual sweets. This is the star of this space, the confectionery, and we are not talking about the conventional cakes, known to all pastries in Porto, but rather about conventual confectionery: egg chestnuts, egg cones, almond delights, Tentúgal pastries. There are also homemade pizzas, salads and carpaccios, if you want a light meal and a DJ at the weekend, to enjoy while drinking a cocktail.
