Keeping the tradition of the old confectionery with the same name, the Cunha Grill opened with the same principles and objectives of satisfaction of the customers' needs. They are located about 2 minutes from the Trindade underground station. In this space, with ample capacity, ideal for lunches and dinners, being able to reserve for groups, ideal for social and familiar conviviality, the protagonists are the same plates, with confections based on the principles of the traditional Portuguese cuisine. Its specialties are the octopus and codfish dishes, the ‘Tripas à moda do Porto’ (the most representative dish of Porto that dates back to the time of the Portuguese Discoveries is cooked with tripe and fat meat, accompanied with thick slices of dark bread; today instead of bread white beans are used), the famous Francesinha (a sandwich from the city of Porto, consisting of sausage, fresh sausage, ham, cold meats and beef steak, covered with cheese later melted; it is garnished with a tomato, beer and piri-piri sauce and can be served with French fries as a side dish) and its sangria. Every day there are new dishes, which can be tasted at lunch, in menus at competitive prices.

Confeitaria Leblon is already 34 years old but the one we found underwent a refurbishment two years ago. Under new management, it has become more modern, appealing and inviting to enjoy all its wonderful and appetizing confectionery. With a wide variety of locally made products, whether sweet or savory, you can take advantage of the indoor or even outdoor space to enjoy a meal. We are in Porto, and being in Porto, here you can also try the francesinha. In addition, it has casserole steak, pasta varieties, salads, steaks, cod dishes, omelets, some specials and light meals, with hamburgers, alheir and hotdogs.

Let’s talk about couverts. If there are restaurants that put the tickets on the table without the customer asking, permission is requested here. However, according to customers, entries should be mandatory. The chef Luís Américo makes sure that all the confection is handmade and made on site. So, if you spread black garlic butter and paprika on a sweet, still warm, sweet potato bread, you need not ask where such delicacy will come from. Comes from the chef’s kitchen. And we are only talking about entries. With a strong focus on Portuguese cuisine, chef Luís Américo added simple things of direct flavors to his dishes, depending on the trips he made. In Typographia Progress one eats but also travels.
