In Café Pérola do Heroísmo you can count on a family space with a cozy atmosphere. It is a space that has a multifaceted offer, it can be the place to have breakfast or snack, as well as to have a full meal as well as just have a drink. In the menu you can always count on daily rates at inviting prices, combined with soup, dish of the day, drink and coffee, and you can choose “à la carte” several options, such as various dishes of cod, hake fillets, pataniscas, codfish balls, Steaks, beef, alheira, gizzards, pork scallops and, of course, francesinha.

Open since 1969, Concha Douro is one of the oldest pastry shops in the city of Porto. Entering this space is also taking a journey through time, promoting a welcoming environment from other times and a familiarity that one can feel. This does not mean compromising the constant updating and adaptation to the demands of the new times. Here you can make your meal at lunchtime and buy groceries; but the ex-libris of Concha Douro is its pastry shop, especially the confectionary biscuits, ‘seminaristas’ (smaller version of a traditional sweet made with puff pastry, with egg filling and cinnamon and royal glaze topping), ‘glorinhas’ (circular cake with a hole in the middle – it has more or less the shape of a donut – with a very high puff pastry basis; a thick layer of egg jam is applied on it and finally a thin white and crispy layer of sugar syrup covers it all), ‘pastéis de nata’ (Portuguese egg tart pastry dusted with cinnamon) and ‘Hungarian sweets’ (butter biscuit, half of which has chocolate coating). Concha Douro is proud of the quality of its products, which it promotes in the raw materials used and in the maintenance of the original recipes.

There is a connection between Portugal and Thailand: for over 500 years the Portuguese established contact with the Thai and introduced elements of the local cuisine. In the Thailander restaurant there is now the opposite direction, the offer of authentic Thai cuisine in downtown Porto. The menu is based on the offer of typical Thai dishes, from Pad Thai, a dish of rice noodles sautéed in egg and a traditional sauce, spring rolls, strong flavoured soups, such as Tom Yum, a rich shrimp broth with citrus flavours from kaffir lime and lemon grass, with a spicy touch, or Tom Kha, a coconut broth with mushrooms, galangal and the aromas of coriander and lemon grass, to typical curry dishes, among others.
