The restaurant Peza Arroz was born in 1944, still under the name Casa de Melgaço, and owes its name to the nickname of the owner's great-grandfather. It is rustic and welcoming, located in the riverside area of Porto, and it serves good homemade dishes of traditional Portuguese cuisine. It is a great place to rest and regain energy, and then continue visiting the riverside area. The pleasant space outside overlooking the Douro River and the not less friendly staff of the space stand out, and you can enjoy some “Tripas à moda do Porto” (the most representative dish of Porto that dates back to the time of the Portuguese Discoveries is cooked with tripe and fat meat, accompanied with thick slices of dark bread; today instead of bread white beans are used), or a Francesinha (a sandwich from the city of Porto, consisting of sausage, fresh sausage, ham, cold meats and beef steak, covered with cheese later melted; it is garnished with a tomato, beer and piri-piri sauce and can be served with French fries as a side dish), or “bacalhau à marinheiro” (codfish fillets, soaked in seafood broth, roasted in the oven with clams, shrimps, peppers and onions), or grilled beefsteak on the dish, among others, while enjoying one of the most emblematic views of Porto and Gaia, savoured with a glass of wine.
Traditional Portuguese food, codfish, octopus, bean rice.

Who does not remember the famous La Coppa crepes and pancakes?
With a renewed image, Nova Copa offers its customers the same crepes and the same pancakes as always, made with the same hand.
From its menu we also highlight the 100% homemade hamburgers, which are recommended to be accompanied by a sangria of sparkling wine and strawberry, a homemade beer or a good glass of wine.
To finish, drink a coffee or decaf with a mint, chamomile or vanilla flavour, accompanied by an After Eight mint, a slice of salami or a ‘brigadeiro’ (the ingredients of the ‘brigadeiro’ are condensed milk, powdered chocolate, butter or margarine and granulated chocolate for the coverage), always with the quality that is recognised in the service of the Nova Copa.

Astro Cervejaria Petisqueira has been in Porto since 1979 and says its slogan that here you can find the “real bifanas”. It is the ex-libris of O’Astro. Going here and not eating a bifana is like going to Porto once in a lifetime and not drinking a port. According to the owner, Mr. Albino, also the green broth is at the level of the bifanas, because “there is no time of day when it is not fresh, hot and ready to eat”. There are also other snacks to try, such as ham sandwiches, beef patties, shrimp patties, cod pastries, and breadcrumbs.

Housed in the Bom Sucesso Market, a historic building from the 1950s, Buri is a sushi restaurant that works only with fresh fish from sustainable fishing and from the Portuguese sea, such as sea bass, sea bream, horse mackerel, tuna and corvina from Azores.
In addition to the originality of its sushi menus, Buri also has some alternative dishes influenced by Mediterranean cuisine and vegetarian options.
In this restaurant, the excellence of the service and the freshness of the fish combine with a space of modern character and contemporary decoration, making Buri a place to visit.
To satisfy the needs of its customers, it also has take-away and delivery.
